Saint Monica Preparatory School believes that a healthy body contributes to the development of a sound mind. Our school's size allows us to offer robust athletic programs based on a growth mindset, teaching our athletes to compete both on and off the field.

Saint Monica Preparatory School offers a comprehensive array of advanced courses, including AP courses, honors courses, and dual enrollment programs. The curriculum is broad and well-rounded, with notable courses including dual enrollment programs in partnership with Santa Monica College.

Pathway Programs

The SMPrep Pathway Programs represent distinctive offerings within the SMPrep curriculum, encompassing tailored courses in the domains of Computer Science & Engineering, Entrepreneurship and Visual Media & Performing Art.

MORI

Mariner Ocean Research Institutestudents carry out multi-year, collaborative research projects that are presented to the scientific community. Typically, a student will begin research as an apprentice during their freshman or sophomore year and become a lead researcher by time of their graduation.

Sports Competition

As a member of CIF Southern Section, our high school has 18 teams. All of these teams promote the development of strong character and positive habits and attitudes.

Art exploration

Art programs encourage students to deepen their understanding of the arts and develop an aesthetic appreciation for the world around them. By providing students with diverse opportunities in visual and performing arts, the school enables them to discover and cultivate their unique talents.

Spiritual Development

In the context of our community, we cultivate and respect individuals by fostering a sense of belonging through a commitment to faith, character, and service. Guided by our Catholic values, Sailors are actively encouraged to develop their passions and pursuits, with a particular emphasis on civic engagement, ethics, social justice, and the creation of an inclusive society.

Cheer Team

Members of the Cheer Team serve as the designated leaders that exemplify and enhance the true meaning of Mariner pride at Saint Monica Preparatory. Joining the Cheer Team is a tremendous honor and privilege that carries many responsibilities that often require making personal sacrifices for the benefit of the squad, the Athletics Department and the school.
